Baby Fabric Guide: Cotton vs Muslin vs Bamboo
Cotton, muslin layer counts and bamboo blends explained for wholesale buyers: what each fabric feels like, where it fits, and how to choose for your baby textile line.

Fabric choice decides how a baby textile line feels, wears and sells. This guide compares the three fabric families used across our factory's products - cotton, layered muslin and bamboo blends - so wholesale buyers can match fabric to product and market.
100% cotton: the workhorse
100% cotton is the base of our bibs, washcloths, burp cloths, towels, blankets, crib sheets and changing pads. It is breathable, durable and takes prints well, which makes it the safest choice for everyday baby lines and gift programs.
Muslin and layer counts
Muslin refers to the loose, breathable weave; the layer count changes weight and opacity. Our line runs 4-layer to 10-layer options: lighter layers suit washcloths and summer swaddles, while 6-layer and 10-layer builds give blankets and bibs more body. The same logic applies to our swaddles: the 90x90cm double-layer wrap for newborns and the 110x110cm 6-layer blanket for longer use.
Bamboo blend: 95% bamboo fiber, 5% spandex
Bamboo muslin (95% bamboo fiber, 5% spandex) is cool, soft and slightly stretchy, and the fabric can come into direct contact with newborn skin. It is the fabric of our bamboo swaddle series and sleep bags, a strong fit for premium newborn programs.
Matching fabric to product
- Swaddles and blankets: bamboo blend for premium, cotton muslin for volume
- Bibs, burp cloths, washcloths: 100% cotton muslin, 4 to 10 layers
- Hooded towels: 100% cotton 6-layer, with a 100% bamboo option
- Changing pads: cotton surface and back with a waterproof middle layer
